Scope note
Double-walled vessels designed to regulate the temperature of liquids stored within. Originally invented by Sir James Dewar. Use 'Thermoses (TM)' for the brand name examples of these. With a lowercase initial 'thermoses' is frequently applied loosely to 'vacuum flasks' in general.
